Cannon Hall Farm has confirmed a new series of a winter farming favourite just in time for Christmas.

Farmers Dave and Rob Nicholson, who recently won the Farming Hero: Flying the Flag for British Agriculture accolade at the British Farming Awards, said they will return to television screens for a festive edition of Channel 5's Winter On The Farm.

After the success of Harvest on the Farm in September - which featured Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen - the show will return just before the Christmas rush to document life on farm in winter.

Farmer Dave said Helen Skelton, Jules Hudson and JLS' JB Gill would return for the new series.

Making the announcement through social media, Rob told followers he had an early ‘Christmas present' with some tongue in cheek Yorkshire humour.

He added: "We cannot wait to show you what we have been up to this winter on our little farm in Barnsley".

The show - which offers a glimpse into the life of farming and the amazing community who represent it - will broadcast live from Cannon Hall Farm between December 11 and December 14 at 8pm on Channel 5.
