The public's fascination with farming has reached new heights of stardom on the small screen with the likes of Clarkson's Farm and Cannon Hall Farm now in the frame to win prestigious awards for their popularity among viewers.
The TV Choice Awards 2024 has opened nominations for people to choose their most favourite programmes to win the best show on television featuring the likes of Jeremy Clarkson, Kaleb Cooper, Gerald Cooper, Helen Skelton, Jules Hudson, Reuben Owen, and Barnsley farmers Rob and Dave Nicholson.
Amazon Prime Video's Clarkson's Farm and Channel 5's Winter on the Farm/Springtime on the Farm have both been nominated for Best Factual Show on television.
Jeremy Clarkson's adventures into farming - where he documents and learns the ‘ins and outs' of the industry has proven its weight in popularity with voters on IMDB - an online movie and television database - who gave the show a 9 out of 10.
Series two of Clarkson's Farm was also Amazon Prime's most watched show, according to the television measurement and ratings company BARB.
Channel 5's Springtime on the Farm and Winter on the Farm ‘celebrates the hard work of great British farmers who battle all year round to keep providing food to go on the table'.
Cannon Hall Farm said it was delighted to have reached this stage and thanked all of those who made it possible to reach the final four against 24 Hours in A&E and Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs.
Having won the award in 2022, Cannon Hall said they hope people will vote for them to win again.
The TV Choice Awards ceremony takes place at The London Hilton on February 12.
