A young farmer has praised her Young Farmers Club (YFC) for providing support to her family and members of the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Young Farmers Clubs (YFC) across the country have united to offer support and services to local residents in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gwion Rhys Williams, 23, is a fifth generation farmer from Trawsfynydd, Wales, and is chairman of Prysor and Eden Young Farmers’ Club.

Young farmers are being urged to get inventive and think of ways to keep in touch with each other.

A record 360 tractors turned out to support a Young Farmers’ Club’s (YFC) annual run, which raised £20,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance in memory of a former member.

A record breaking 360 tractors turned out to support Knaresborough Young Farmers Club on March 9 in their annual tractor run to fundraise for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Cerys Fairclough, 16, lives on a family sheep farm near Newbridge on Wye, Wales, where she is successfully developing her own flock of Bluefaced Leicester ewes. She is also one of 12 young people to be selected for Farming Connect Agri-Academy.

Charlotte Garbutt, 24, from East Yorkshire, is an area manager for agrochemical company, Sygenta and is the current county vice chairwoman of Lincolnshire Young Farmers Club (YFC). She has also set up a pedigree Limousin herd on her smallholding in Billinghay, Lincolnshire.
