A call of 18,000gns led the Simmental section which averaged £5,039, up £64 on the year, with a clearance rate of 67 per cent.
After topping the pre-sale show prize list, Wolfstar Simmentals, Ormiston, went onto dominate the high bids, leading the breed section with their overall and intermediate champion, Wolfstar Jackaroo 18.
A June 2018-born Team Celtic 11 son, out of Wolfstar Wotsit daughter, Wolfstar Ellie, it was knocked down to the judge, Phillip Simmers, Morayshire.
Another from the same home, Wolfstar Jimmy Choo 18, took the reserve senior championship before going onto sell for 17,000gns. May 2018-born, the Islavale Guy 15 son, out of Wolfstar Forget-Me-Not, also sold to Mr Simmers.
Kate and Alan McNee, Dundee, sold their first prize winning bull, Finlarg Jaguar 18, for 10,000gns. A June 2018-born son of Team Drambuie 12, out of Dirnanean Lotti B8, it went home with S. McClymont and Son, Yarrow.
Three bulls sold for 9,000gns, the first being another first prize winner, Ranfurly Jackpot J12 18, consigned by W.D. and J.D. Hazelton, Dungannon. By Auchorachan Acdc 09 9 and out of Raceview Fancywinty 652, the July 2018-born bull went home with Philiphaugh Estates, Selkirk.
At the same money was September 2018-born Corskie Jackpot 18, a son of the 22,000gns Dirnanean Bradley, overall champion at the Royal Highland in 2014, and out of Corskie Frolic, it sold to J.S. Gunn, Caithness.
The third at 9,000gns was Saltire Jaguar 18, consigned by J. and G. Houliston, North Berwick. By the same sire as the sale topper, Celtic 11, and out of Saltire Gayle, the September 2018-born bull was knocked down to J.A. Griffin, Cambridgeshire.
G.L. Clark, Cupar, then sold Broombrae Joey 18 for 8,200gns. By Corskie Elgin 13 and out of Broombrae Rosina E40, it sold to R. Forest, Berwickshire.
Making 8,000gns for D.C. Houldey, Lockerbie, was Manor Park John 18, a Corskie Ebay 13 son. The buyers were Floors Farming, Kelso.
Making the same money was Blackford Jumbo 18, a Blackford Galaxy 15 son bred by W.G. MacPherson, Inverness. It sold to A. Wright, Doune.

High of 4,200gns for Simmental females
Pre-sale champion, Annick Duchess 19, commanded the day's top bid in the Simmental female section at 4,200gns.
Consigned by L.D. Quarm, Irvine, the June 2018-born heifer by Wolfstar Gold Diggar 15, the same sire as the female and senior overall champion at Stars of the Future 2019, is out of Skerrington Visa daughter, Annick Duchess 14, and went home with the judge, Phillip Simmers, Morayshire.
Making 4,000gns was another from the same home, March 2018-born Annick Desiree's Joy. A Corskie Callum 11 daughter out of Annick Belle's Desiree. It was knocked down to M. Gilliland, Ayrshire.
Next was a 3,000gns call for Chestermann Empire Mali, a January 2016-born Sterling Empire 13 daughter from N. and N. Gwynne, Whithorn. Out of Chestermann Ringleader Mali 5, the buyers were Alexande Harley Seeds, Milnathort.
The reserve champion, Kennox Frankie's Jewel, made 2,300gns, consigned by David Craig, Stewarton. The October 2018-born heifer by Woodhall Ferrari 14 was another to go home with judge, Mr Simmers.
