STIRLING BULL SALES: Herefords sell to 6,200gns

Hereford bulls met a 6,200gns high to average 4,347, with a clearance rate of 71 per cent.

Leading the trade was the overall champion, Criffel 1 Thor, from Ewan Burgess, Dumfries. May 2020-born Thor is by Australian bull Wirruna Katnook K74 and out of Romany 1 Lawbreaker daughter, Moorside 1 Jane 8, bought from the 2018 Designer Genes sale.

It sold to I.G. Wilkinson, Perthshire.

At 4,500gns was the reserve overall champion, March 2020-born Baldinnie 1 Digger, from John Cameron and Son, Leven. The Solpoll 1 National son was bought by E. Innes and Son, Glenlivet.
