Despite mixed weather, crowds at the Royal Three Counties show were treated to an impressive display of livestock with more than 2,000 entries across the sections including the presentation of the Burke Trophies.

The 400 agricultural shows that cover the UK are at the core of the rural community, but as times change, shows are evolving and future-proofing themselves for the next generation. Ellie Layton reports.

The Royal Highland Show has a well-deserved reputation for running smoothly and much of that is down to the dedication of an army of volunteer stewards.
