John Deere has launched the 560R, which increases maximum tank capacity from 5,000 litres to 6,000 litres.
John Deere announce a significant update to the 500R range for 2027, with the introduction of the new 560R, which increases maximum tank capacity from 5,000 litres to 6,000 litres.
Alongside the larger tank, John Deere will introduce an all-new boom platform. Available in 30, 36 and 42-metre widths and later down the line a 48-metre variant, the revised steel boom design is expected to be lighter and more compact, with faster folding and unfolding times while maintaining a transport width of 2.55m. Nozzles and stainless-steel spray lines will be housed within the boom structure to improve protection and reduce maintenance requirements. Buyers will also be able to specify either 250mm or 500mm nozzle spacing.

Boom control will also receive a significant upgrade through the introduction of BoomTrac Pro 2. Depending on boom width, the system will utilise up to seven ultrasonic sensors to maintain target height over both crop and soil surfaces. A redesigned centre frame will incorporate active yaw and roll control to counter chassis movement and improve stability across the full boom width.
Combined with ExactApply and Individual Nozzle Control Pro, the updates are expected to increase maximum spraying speeds from 25km/h to 30km/h while maintaining application accuracy. Further updates will include the PowrSpray solution system, capable of fill rates of up to 1,200 litres/minute.
John Deeres sprayer line up will no doubt continue to evolve over time. The brands recent decision to close the Mazzotti factory in Italy and withdraw the 300M in recent weeks has once again opened up space in the brands portfolio. Should John Deere wish to make smaller entry level variants of the 500R in the future it will have some steep competition from well known UK manufactures.
