Covering all 17 models of the 6M range, John Deere has introduced a revised cab layout, enhanced precision farming capabilities and a new e19 full powershift transmission shared with the extra-large frame 6R models.

Available on most six-cylinder models up to the 6M 250, it operates with 19 fully powershifted gears, dual-clutch technology and automated gear selection. John Deere claims the transmission can deliver up to 5% higher productivity and 5% lower fuel consumption compared with the outgoing CommandQuad Plus transmission.
The system is designed to provide stepless-like operation, automatically selecting gears and engine speeds according to load and operating conditions.
Cab changes span the 6M line-up and claim to bring the operating environment more closely in line with John Deere's larger 6R, 7R and 8R tractors. Externally, the same cab frame from the 6030-series remains, with more technogogy and control intergraton installed. Users of existing 6R machines will see several simularities, with the M designation machines now offering cab internals from the existing short and medium wheelbase R tractors.

New control options include the Compact CommandARM and CommandX Plus joystick, while an optional G5 CommandCenter display provides access to guidance, automation and machine management functions.
The range will benefit from expanded precision farming features, which includes AutoTrac guidance, AutoPath, work planning and wireless data transfer through the John Deere Operations Center.
New functions allow operators to save and recall machine setups, while remote display enables dealers and support teams to assist operators with machine configuration remotely.

Automation improvements include iTEC headland management, which can automatically control functions such as pto engagement, hydraulic operations, gear changes and travel speed at the headland.
