Three gimmer lambs have gone missing from a farm on Tong Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire. The lambs were last seen on farm on Friday (January 9) and suspected stolen on Monday (January 12).

Sally Holdsworth and her father Martin Hare are appealing for information on the whereabouts of their lambs which they believe have been stolen from Lane End Farm, next door to Tong Garden Centre.

The incident has been reported to West Yorkshire Police which have confirmed to Farmers Guardian that all current lines of enquiry have been exhausted: "We have crimed it, but it has been filed pending any new lines of enquiries."

Ms Holdsworth says she suspects theft as the gate had clearly been tampered with and not by her or her father. The lambs may have been taken anytime between Friday and Monday.

"They were not just store lambs, they were nice sheep," she said.

"I know all sheep are nice sheep, but they were my special ones. They were my home-bred sheep. They were born with me.

"I just feel sick about it all. I could not sleep last night, because I just kept thinking, what happens if they come back for some more."

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Ms Holdsworth and Mr Hare through the Lane End Farm Shop on: 01274684300.
