Select Seven Texels peak at 22,000gns at Lanark

 The sale leader was a gimmer by 90,000gns Hilltop Goliath from Hugh and Alan Blackwood's Auldhouseburn flock, Muirkirk. Bred from a ewe by 100,000gns Auldhouseburn Expression and in-lamb to the 110,000gns Midlock Inferno, it sold to Charlie Boden, Stockport.

Auldhouseburn welcomed a further 11,000gns from Messrs McCollam, Nutts Corner, for a gimmer by the 13,000gns Haymount Fan Dabi Dozi, carrying a pair to Midlock Inferno.

Second best at 12,000gns was an Allanfauld gimmer from Archie and John MacGregor, Kilsyth, which sold to A. Liggett and Drumcon Pedigrees, both of Northern Ireland. By the 20,000gns Sportsmans Grand Slam, it sold scanned with twins to the 60,000gns Auldhouseburn In Business Now.

A Midlock Flockstar daughter, carrying a single to Tirnageeragh Ideal, from J. and H. Clark's Garngour flock, Lesmahagow, sold to Messrs Dunlop, for 10,000gns. 

Averages: 57 gimmers, £3,336.05; 5 ewe lambs, £1,302.
