
KBF Lucia
The final evening of the Horse of the Year Show saw Jayne Ross claim an incredible eighth Supreme Horse of the Year title, this time with KBF Lucia, an eight-year-old mare by Free Spirit, owned by Diane Stennett and Lucy Cameron, which earlier in the day had been crowned Coloured Horse of the Year.
Taking the Supreme Pony of the Year title was the mini show pony champion, the lead rein winner, Elmswood Spring Parade bred and shown by John Harvey, produced by Rachael Helliwell and ridden by her daughter Florence Rendall who also won the first ridden on Somersham Playboy.

The Shire Horse of the Year championship went to Knutsford Monte-Carlo, a home-bred three-year-old handled by Thomas Whitaker, whose dam, St Giles Morganana claimed the title seven years ago.

The Ridden Shire Horse of the Year title was won by Emma Green riding Cardington Billy Bob, a six-year-old rare grey, who was competing at the show for the first time.

David Mouland driving the five-year-old chestnut gelding, Ken, was the winner of the Driven Heavy Horse of the Year championship.
The Price Family Supreme In-hand championship went to the winner of the pony section, Heniarth Sh-Boom, a Welsh Section A mare owned by Meiron Davies and Richard Miller. In reserve was Dakiora Royale, a three-year-old riding horse filly, owned by Jill Whittaker and shown by Ian Boylan.
The Harker family had a clean sweep in the Show Pony of the Year championship taking the top spot with Rotherwood Fantasia ridden by Emma Harker and reserve with Stanley Grange Crescendo ridden by Matilda Holmes.
A tremendous entry of mountain and moorland (M&M) ponies across all sections saw the ridden pony championship go to Thistledown Superstar, a seven-year-old Welsh Section C mare owned by Leisa Woodward and ridden by Sharn Linney.
The winner of the M & M Working Hunter Pony of the Year championship was Amy Cavavan-Smith with her seven-year-old Connemara stallion, Clonfert Melody's Boy and the M & M mini champion was Jemina Makin-Jones with Annabel Makin-Jones' 11-year-old Welsh Section A palomino gelding, Wernderris Charlie Fox.
