The record breaker was the winning British Blue cross heifer from Messrs Ridley, Haltcliffe. By Solway View Pogba, it was bought at the foot of its pedigree Limousin dam at Carlisle last June from Messrs Renton, Morpeth, and sold to Gordon Cameron, Argyll.

The second top price of £11,000 was for the second prize winning Limousin cross heifer, Black Pearl, a daughter of Hightown Jacko from John Smith Jackson, Hexham. Having been a winner at the Stars of the Future and North East Live in the autumn, it sold to Ian Snape, Redditch.
