YFC news: 2024 Louise Owen Memorial Shearing Scholarship announced

The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society have announced young shearer Will Bevan, Crickhowell, as the recipient of the Louise Owen Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was first introduced in 2014 in memory of the talented and accomplished woolhandler Sarah Louise Owen, and it offers a fantastic opportunity for junior shearers to enhance their skills. Louise's legacy lives on through this generous award, providing £1,000 to a promising junior shearer.
