THE online sale of working sheepdogs hosted by Farmers Marts (R.G. Jones), Dolgellau, had an entry of 130 and a clearance rate of 75 per cent.

It topped at £8,100 for Kemi Kira, a 15-week-old bitch pup from Kevin Evans, Brecon, which will be heading to the USA.

Mr Evans also sold another pup, Pentre Penny, for £3,950.
Top price in the trained section was £7,200 for Llangwm Rex, a two-year-old dog which is ready for open trials from A. Owen, Corwen.

Next at £6,500 was Cefneithin Bob from S.C. Jones, Corwen, which sold to a buyer from Co Sligo.

Mr Owen also topped the partly trained dog section at £4,750 for Lizz which sold to a buyer in the Netherlands.

Averages - trained dogs, £3,448; partly trained dogs, £1,540; pups, £935; overall, £1,975.
