National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) and Fendt to host Contractors Lounge at LAMMA 2023

The NAAC Contractors Lounge is a new addition to LAMMA in 2023, held at the NEC, Birmingham, on 10th and 11th January.

The Lounge will be a dedicated area for contractors to relax and network, while providing specialist clinics and opportunities to meet new suppliers.

Experts from the NAAC will share the latest advice, assistance and resources to help contractors stay safe and legal, as well as guidance about transportation and information on their Assurance Standards for Contractors.

They have also partnered with financial experts to create a ‘contractor calculations tool’ for which there will be a costings demonstration.

Jill Hewitt, NAAC CEO says: “The NAAC Contractors Lounge will offer a place to relax, have some refreshments and take the opportunity to talk to NAAC staff and experts. In addition to the clinics, there will be the chance to discuss industry issues, individual problems and explore solutions to these. We look forward to meeting many of the contractors visiting LAMMA.

“Contractors are a vital to UK agriculture, providing high capital cost, innovative machinery, and skilled labour to help farmers reach optimum productivity and profitability,” she continues.

“The NAAC is delighted to work with LAMMA and Fendt to recognise their important industry contribution and provide the first business and social space for contractors at LAMMA.”

Ed Dennett, Advertising and Sales Promotion at AGCO Limited says: “Contractors are an essential part of agriculture in the UK & Ireland, from providing specialist services right through to whole stubble to stubble contracting operations.

The Fendt brand has long been a favourite among contractors, offering affordable solutions with fixed costs. With this in mind, we see the tie up with Fendt, the NAAC and the Contractors lounge at LAMMA giving a clear synergy between our organisations, helping to lift the profile of everyone involved.

“As the old expression goes ‘it is good to talk’. The Contractors Lounge offers contractors the opportunity to network and relax with others that understand the challenges they face.

Through conversations and the specialist clinics on offer, visitors will be able to share thoughts, ideas and knowledge with each other, helping to raise the bar even higher in the contracting sector.”
