Born and raised on a council estate in Battersea, Tom Davis may not come from a traditional farming background, but he certainly has the passion.

He decided he wanted to be a farmer at just eight-years-old, inspired by a visit to a city farm.

Tom has since been the farm manager at a farm for children with behavioural difficulties in Essex and at Vauxhall City Farm, was the inaugural farm manager Hatfield park farm as well as lecturing at Capel Manor College. Tom is currently the farm, park and open-space manager at Mudchute Park and Farm situated in the shadow of Canary Wharf in the heart of London's East End.

His passion for rare breeds has continued throughout his career, and he is currently the education representative of the British Waterfowl Association a trustee of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

You may have even spotted him sharing his knowledge over the last few years on ITV's love your weekend, but you can find him on social media showcasing just how vital education is.
