Kverneland has expanded its grassland machinery portfolio with the launch of a new range of round balers, including fixed and variable chamber models, introduced alongside the existing FastBale non-stop baler-wrapper combination.
The new line-up comprises the 6500F fixed chamber baler and the Densus 7060 and 7090 variable chamber balers, all built at the company's Ravenna production facility in Italy. Kverneland says the move responds to dealer and customer demand, enabling it to offer a more complete forage equipment range alongside its mowers, tedders, rakes and mergers.
The 6500F features an 18-roller fixed chamber, a 2.3m pickup with an internal driveline to reduce overall transport width, and a PowerBind net system designed to improve net feeding. A parallelogram drop floor also helps clear blockages more easily.
Joining the range is the new heavy-duty Densus variable chamber baler, available in two models producing bales up to 1.65m or 1.85m in diameter. Customers can choose either a rotor feed or a 15-knife chop feed intake, while four heavy-duty 8mm belts are designed to improve durability and reliability. Other features include vertically mounted net storage for easier loading and reduced dust build-up.
Prices for the new range start at £51,404 for the Kverneland 6500F fixed chamber baler with rotor feed.
