#farm24 kicks off with a bang - it's time to tell farming's story

This year's #farm24 kicked off at 5am, taking over social media for a whole day.

Showcasing what really goes on in the industry is more vital than ever, and you can get involved by uploading your videos and images across social media, using the hashtag #farm24.

The campaign started in 2015, in a bid to open the gates to agriculture, and it has since grown to a much-loved date in the farming calendar.

This year's ambassadors are helping to tell agriculture's story, so look out for some special content across the day.

Last year the campaign reached over 181 million people.

Farmers Guardian editor Katie Jones said: "This is a date in the farming calendar many in the industry look forward to, and it is a key chance to connect the public with what farmers do every single day.

"This is a window of opportunity - there is never really that much of a chance for consumers to hear what farmers do from their own mouths, so take the chance and get involved."
