New Kuhn mounted twin-rotor rake targets smaller farms

Kuhn Farm Machinery has expanded its grassland range with the introduction of the GA 7631 P, a new 7.4m mounted twin-rotor rake aimed at farms requiring greater output without moving to a trailed machine.

Designed for small and medium-sized farms, the rake offers hydraulic working width adjustment and can produce swaths from 1.3m to 2.2m wide. Kuhn says its mounted design improves manoeuvrability and access to smaller or awkwardly shaped fields, while transport dimensions remain compact with tine arms left in place.

The GA 7631 P features Kuhn's maintenance-free Master Drive GII gearbox and 3D rotor articulation to help reduce forage contamination and improve ground following. Weighing 1.5t, the rake can be operated with tractors from 140hp, with many key functions controlled hydraulically from the cab for improved ease of use.

Additional features include optional hydraulic working height adjustment and individually controlled rotor lift, helping operators adapt quickly to changing field conditions and crop types. Kuhn says the machine is designed to bridge the gap between single-rotor and larger trailed twin-rotor rakes, delivering increased productivity while maintaining the compact dimensions and agility required for smaller fields and narrow lanes.
