Inter-breed dairy and any other dairy breed champion, Morwick Peggy 126, from G.G. Baynes and Stuart Mullan, Hexham.
Dairy
Claiming the supreme dairy championship this year's Northumberland County Show was the Ayrshire, Morwick Peggy 126, from G.G. Baynes and Stuart Mullan, Hexham. Led by Richard Baynes, the EX93 classified third calver was shown giving 45 litres having last calved in January and has had a successful show career to date, winning its breed section at Ayr Show most recently.

Standing reserve was the Brown Swiss, Kedar Nescardo Snickerliscious, a fifth lactation EX95 classified cow from Jonny Lochhead and the Kedar team, Dumfries. Having calved some 500 days ago, it was shown giving 31 litres and is due in the autumn. Previous wins include champion Brown Swiss at UK Dairy Expo in 2024.
Beef
In the beef rings it was the continentals which found favour, with this year's supreme beef championship going to the Charolais and continental beef champion, Goldstar Une Star, from Thor Atkinson and his team at Ulverston, Cumbria, before it later went onto scoop the show's champion of champion trophy in the afternoon.

The October 2023-born Neptune-sired heifer, out of Goldstar Scarlette, was bought from Martin Ryan's online Goldstar production sale in October 2024 and was recently Charolais female champion at this year's Devon County Show. It heads to Staffordshire Show next.

Reserve supreme beef champion was the Limousin and reserve continental beef winner, Crajan Unison, a home-bred heifer from Craig and Janet Johnston, Penrith. The February 2023-born Gunnerfleet Lion daughter is out of Crajan Melody and resides with the family's 25-head pedigree Limousin herd.
Native
Topping the native beef championship was the Longhorn champion, Fishwick Paloma, a home-bred, 10-year-old cow from John Close and Son, Fishwick, Berwick On Tweed. The seventh calver by Fishwick Macavity resides with the farm's 40 pedigree Longhorns, alongside 15 grading up polled Longhorns and 10 Simmental cows breeding commercial Longhorn cross Simmental sucklers.

Reserve native beef champion went to the Aberdeen-Angus winner, Blackrodian Evita, a home-bred February 2023-born heifer from William Ashworth, Bolton. In-calf to Retties Lordlucas, the Gretnahouse Blacksmithy daughter took rosettes at Garstang and Westmorland on last year's show circuit.

Sheep
Clinching the supreme sheep championship was a home-bred Zwartbles shearling gimmer from Peter and Susan Addison, Mickleton, Banard Castle. The gimmer, Hayberries Mistral, by Selside Lamberton, won first prize rosettes at the Great Yorkshire and Royal Three Counties shows when it was shown as a lamb last year. Out of Hayberries Kloudnine, it forms part of the farm's 50-head pedigree Zwartbles flock.
