British Farming Awards reaches landmark milestone

The farming community came together in their hundreds last night as 18 winners of the British Farming Awards were announced.

The winner of this year’s Farmers Guardian Farming Hero is Scottish chilli farmer, Sheena Horner, who spearheaded a running campaign to improve mental health in throes of the Covid-19 pandemic, galvanising the farming community to achieve it with her.

A clip of Jeremy Clarkson submitting his entry for the British Farming Awards (BFAs) has caused a social media storm, with more than 650,000 people watching the two minute spoof.

The British Farming Awards are back for 2021.

Last week saw the return of the British Farming Awards (BFAs). And while there may not have been close to 800 people meeting face to face at a glittering ceremony, the importance and reach of the awards may have been greater this year than ever before.

The 2020 winners are revealed

The British Farming Awards will take place tonight (October 21) at 7:30pm. For the first time ever the awards will be hosted virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions. 

Covid-19 has highlighted the agricultural industry’s ability to adapt and innovate during the most extraordinary of times. With this resulting in a surge in public support for agriculture, there is no better time to celebrate this as part of The British Farming Awards 2020.
