Harvest has started in parts of the UK as warm weather continues

Good grain quality and ‘pleasing’ yields are being seen in Cambridgeshire as winter barley harvest commenced a week earlier than normal this year.

The average specific weight of UK flour millers’ Group 1 varieties remains at 75.4kg/hl, the lowest since 2012 (70.7kg/hl).
