Police are appealing for information following the theft of three quad bikes from the Royal Welsh Showground

Police are appealing for information after the theft of three quad bikes from the Royal Welsh Showground in the early hours of Sunday, July 19.

Dyfed-Powys Police said one of the quad bikes has since been located and returned to its owner. The two outstanding vehicles are a KYMCO MXU 550 with the Serial number: RFBZ50513S7500319 and a KYMCO MXU 700 with the Serial number: RFBZ51632NJ80105.

Officers are said to have carried out several lines of enquiry, including the use of the National Police Air Service helicopter to locate the stolen bikes.

Crime scene investigators have attended to carry out a forensic examination of the scene, and CCTV enquiries have also formed part of the investigation.

Appeal for information

A police statement said: "If you have seen the two stolen quad bikes, or have any information that could assist our investigation, please contact Dyfed-Powys Police by calling 101 or visiting, dyfed-powys.police.uk."

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111, or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org and quoting reference: 26*585718.

Visitors to the show have also expressed their shock after the death of a 25-year-old man who died at a campsite near to the event in Builth.

Emergency services were called to Penmaenau Farm caravan park on Saturday night were sadly Dewi Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men have been arrested in relation to drug offences.
