Hawkstone Farmers' Choir to perform live at this year's British Farming Awards

Made up of farmers from across the country, the Hawkstone Farmers' Choir captured the nation's hearts earlier in the year after multiple performances on ITV's Britain's Got Talent.

Jeremy Clarkson

Initially set up by Jeremy Clarkson, the choir's renditions of Elbow's One Day Like This, Bastille's Pompei and a grand finale which saw them sing an original song, the 34-strong ensemble stormed each stage of the competition and no doubt had the whole of the farming industry behind them.

The British Farming Awards, run by Farmers Guardian, is a chance to celebrate the best of British agriculture, strengthened by the presence of the choir.

Ruby Gwilliam, head of communications for the choir, said: "The Hawkstone Farmers' Choir is honoured to be invited to perform at The British Farming Awards. This is one of the most prestigious occasions in the farming calendar and we all look forward to entertaining our peers in the industry. It promises to be a fun filled evening and one where we might be allowed to wear our party frocks instead of farming gear."

Farmers Guardian editor Katie Jones said it is going to be a 'real moment of celebration'.

"Watching the choir perform on Britain's Got Talent gave the whole industry hope and joy, and that is exactly what they will do at the British Farming Awards," she said.
