"If I was to win, I would be using the money to possibly pay for the family farm tax more than anything else," he said.

"I lose sleep over what it might mean for the farm.

He said having to go on the reality show to try win the £100,000 prize money is a rubbish position to be in and is not fair.

"The farm is your lifestyle it's your way of life and you are on the farm all the time, you are on the farm 24/7, but you do it to hand it over to your kids, you do it to hand over to your grandkids.

Breaking down in tears, Mr Kinch said the farm is his legacy and the best advice he has received, which is to sell off land, will make his farm less productive and will cripple him as he already works for little money.

"Plus, every field means something to you especially if your farm has been in your family for generations and generations and you work on that farm day and night.

"It's your blood and soul, it is raising your kids on that farm."
