From 2020 to 2023, sales grew by more than 21%, supported by strong dealer networks and rising adoption of new technologies. Sustainability is central to Kuhn's approach, from developing strip-till solutions that cut fuel and soil disturbance to working with APE UK on plastics recycling. With close links to Young Farmers, colleges, and schools, Kuhn actively champions the next generation while shaping the future of modern, sustainable agriculture.

Flail-Tec - Ballygawley

Founded in 2023 in Ballygawley, Flail-Tec has quickly established itself as a leading force in vegetation management machinery. In just two years, the company has launched a complete line of 30 hydraulic and PTO-driven mulching models, designed for durability, versatility, and performance across farming and land management.

Flail-Tec's rapid trajectory is reflected in its first full trading year (2024), when more than 150 machines were delivered to customers across the UK and Ireland. Growth has since expanded internationally, with a distribution network now established in British Columbia, Canada.

The business has grown from a single founder to a 20-strong team, underpinned by investment in CNC machining, fabrication, and ERP systems to ensure consistent quality and efficient scaling.

Sustainability is central to Flail-Tec's mission, from reducing chemical weed control through mechanical mulching to sourcing locally and investing in renewable energy for its factory. The company also champions local skills, offering apprenticeships, school visits, and rural careers in engineering. Recognition has followed, with Flail-Tec shortlisted for "Best New Entrant" at the Midlands Agri-Tech Awards in 2024.

Brineflow (Nitrasol) - Norfolk

Norfolk-based Brineflow, trading under its Nitrasol brand, has redefined liquid fertiliser production with groundbreaking innovation and sustainability at its core. In the past five years, the company has opened the UK's highest specification liquid fertiliser terminal and launched the industry's first nitrogen inhibitor added at the point of production. Unlike solvent-based alternatives, Nitrasol's inhibitor is delivered in aqueous solution, setting a new benchmark for safety, effectiveness, and environmental performance.

Brineflow continues to expand rapidly, achieving annual growth of 15–20% and securing an increasing share of the liquid fertiliser market. Its production processes are firmly aligned with IPCC and GRI305 frameworks, cutting double handling, eliminating lagoons, and reducing UAN production emissions by more than 20%.

Alongside technical progress, Brineflow champions opportunities for young people. The business offers placements for graduate students from its German partners, Helm, while also supporting disadvantaged young women in Great Yarmouth through creative skills programmes.

With its blend of engineering innovation, sustainability, and social impact, Brineflow is setting a bold example for the future of agricultural manufacturing.

Weaving Machinery - Worcestershire

Worcestershire-based Weaving Machinery has cemented its position as a leading innovator in arable and regenerative farming machinery. Over the past five years, the company has expanded its product range with a suite of drills and tillage equipment, all designed and manufactured at its Evesham facility. The Sabre Drill, regularly featured on Amazon TV's Clarkson's Farm, has become a best-selling, highly versatile tine drill, with multiple configurations to suit diverse farming systems. Complementing this, the Lynx Drill and cultivators like the Energiser support precision seedbed preparation and low-disturbance farming.

Weaving Machinery has seen significant growth, with sold-out order books from 2022–2024 and expanding exports to markets including Germany, Brazil, Switzerland, and Romania. Sustainability is central to its operations, with 986 solar panels generating 400 kW, air-filtered paint shops, and low-disturbance machinery that reduces field passes and fuel consumption.

The company actively champions young talent through placements, apprenticeships, and permanent positions, creating a skilled workforce for the future. Recent recognition includes LAMMA Innovation Awards 2025: Gold – Manufacturer of the Year and Silver for Arable Establishment Innovation.
