Freshways has announced there will be a 2ppl price increase for farmers from June 1, which will mean the standard litre price will increase from 35ppl to 37ppl. Freshways said the increase was in response to the rising costs of production and ensure the partnership 'remains sustainable' for both parties.
Milk price
Managing director for Freshways, Bali Nijjar said he understood the hard work and dedication that goes into dairy farming and wanted to support farmers in continuing to provide high quality milk to customers.

Mr Nijjar said: "We believe that this price increase will help you [farmers] cover your expenses and invest in the growth of your business."
Dairy farmers
He also confirmed Freshways successful completion of the acquisition of Milk & More from Muller on January 1 2024.
"Though this a doorstep delivery business, we are very confident that this will give Freshways a more diverse business for the future. We also completed the acquisition of a new site in West Bromwich and work has started to build a new 400m litre factory.
