Tesco's Jersey Whole Milk features a picture of a Guernsey cow - a different breed from which is advertised
A supermarket has explained an ‘error' over a dairy product which featured a different breed of cow on its labelling.
Tesco had been criticised by shoppers who had noticed its ‘Finest Jersey Whole Milk' featured a picture of a Guernsey cow instead of a Jersey cow - a different breed of cattle.

Labelling on the product describes the milk as produced by ‘pure bred Jersey cows' but with a picture of a Guernsey cow on the bottle.
However, in response, Tesco said its Finest whole milk had recently changed from being produced by both Guernsey and Jersey cows, to solely Jersey cows.
The retailer added it would be updating the photo on the bottle to a Jersey cow as soon as possible.
