Brand new Radstock premises now open
RECO JCB has opened the doors of its new branch in Somerset and is the UKs first JCB-only agricultural dealer.
Supplying and supporting JCB agricultural equipment from compact wheeled loaders to the complete Fastrac tractor range, the hub of RECO JCB operations is in Gurney Slade, near Radstock.
The new premises are now open with offices, a parts department, workshop facilities and a display of machines in stock.
The new operations sales territory extends throughout Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, and is a joint venture between two existing independent machinery dealerships Redlynch Agricultural Engineering and Compass Tractors creating the RECO JCB name.
Although common in the construction sector, this is the first time a JCB-only agricultural dealer has been set up and will offer the full agricultural range alongside some compact construction machinery typically associated with farm use, including mini diggers.
The business has drawn a new team from existing employees in addition to those who have previously worked on JCB products.
The venture was set up following changes to the previous dealership structure locally, in an area which has a high demand for JCB products across the range, with a mixture of large dairy farms, contracting operations and arable units.
