Tuesday’s sale of Devon cattle at Sedgemoor saw a top call of 6,200gns for Knowstone Ferdinand 4 from father and son, John and Richard Stanbury, South Molton.

THE multibreed pedigree sale at Melton Mowbray included the Lincoln Red Cattle Society’s premier spring show and sale which provided the day’s top price of 8,000gns.

THE Farmers Guardian supported Kirkby Classic sale of 609 store and potential show cattle at Kirkby Stephen topped at 6,000.

The female record was smashed and there were increased averages in all sections at the sale of Galloway cattle at Castle Douglas.
