Although not something for every UK farm or application, two new additions to the Claas Xerion range stole the show in Germany as the manufacturer unveils a number of new additions to its range, James Huyton reports from the launch.
Although horsepower requirements have increased on many farms in recent years, the 100-150hp bracket still offers compact design power and versatility suited to many applications. Manufacturers still offer a broad range of options in this power bracket with both functional utilitarian design and high specification models providing both operator comfort and precision technology. James Huyton takes a look at some of the market options.
In 2019, Claas announced a host of improvements to the Jaguar 970 self-propelled forage harvester, with new cab controls and a new six-cylinder engine, usurping the previous model’s V8. Simon Henley spoke to the firm involved in testing the preproduction model and who is now running two of the new six-pot Jags.
Featuring a greater number of models with more power and larger grain tanks, Claas recently revealed its new Lexion straw walker models in the UK.
