TESCO has announced it will be closing seven of its Jacks stores with the remaining six stores to become Tesco stores.

Jacks was launched in 2018 to rival Aldi and Lidl.

It has also announced the closure of meat, fish and deli counters at 317 of its stores.

Tesco UK and Republic of Ireland chief executive Jason Tarry said they had learned a huge amount and this had helped Tesco become more competitive and allowed them to attract new customers from their competitors.
