Lamma 2012: Opico shows off Maschio range
Opico showed a range of power harrows, drills, rotavators and flail mowers from its new agreement with Maschio.
Well known for its power harrows, Maschio’s selection includes the heavy duty Orso, suitable for stony land and for high capacity requirements, the hydraulic folding Toro, which goes up to 6m and is rated up to 380hp to work with the most powerful tractors. Drills include the Alitalia combi drill, now available with the Synchro rubber roller, which presses in front of each coulter for moisture conservation and more even seeding.
There is also a box drill, the Dama, which uses gravity feed and mechanical metering, with drive taken from a land wheel, compatible with Maschio’s DC, DM or Orso power harrows, while at the other end of the scale, Opico promises a 6m drill mounted on a folding power harrow with front tank and rear coulter bar soon.

BETTER late than never is a phrase which seems oddly appropriate when applied to British farming at the moment.
