Ag science skills shortage identified in NZ
A shortage of highly skilled people to fill agricultural science jobs has been identified.
But Massey University director of agriculture Prof Jacqueline Rowarth said some positions could not be filled by migrants because they required hands-on knowledge of New Zealand’s agriculture and it would be a much smarter move for Government to look after its own people.
