Norma was just six years old when she was evacuated to the village of Melsonby, North Yorkshire during the Second World War. It was during this time that she discovered a love for farming and horses.

The old saying goes, ‘every cloud has a silver lining' and while the Second World War was undoubtedly one of the worst humanitarian crises in British history, it led to an unexpected way of life for one...
