Dairy Farmer of the Future 2011 - Finalists announced

Two weeks ago our Dairy Farmer of the Future competition was put into the hands of the public as you began voting for your favourite. The votes have been counted and we can reveal the three finalists.

What happens next?

Our four-strong panel of judges will visit each of the finallists at their farm where they will learn more about the individual businesses, vision and the management regimes in place.

The judges are Katie Lomas, livestock sales editor or Farmers Guardian; Derrick Davies, RABDF council member and dairy farmer; David Horner, a DairyCo board member, Dairy Crest Direct forum member and a founding member of Waitrose Dairy Farmers integrated liquid milk supply chain initiative; and Rob Harrison, Gloucestershire farmer and Dairy Farmer of the Future 2009 winner.

The judges will then make their decision and the winner will be announced on the first day at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show at a special presentation at 1pm a the Farm Health Planning Seminar Area (AH-167).
