August bank holiday weekend and both combines are already back in the barn as we await just the final 20 hectares (50 acres) of spring beans which are not yet fit. I have to take this opportunity to thank the fantastic team (Matthew, Mark, Giles, Dave, Vaughan and Jason) whom have given everything to bring the harvest home in record time, and now they get a well-earned weekend off.

Pigs: My week usually starts quietly. Monday morning sees me feeding and watering our small herd of mainly British Saddleback pigs and taking the opportunity to give them a good look over to make sure everything is as it should be.
