Weather forces the Nantwich and South Cheshire show to cancel
FOR the first time in it’s 111-year history the Nantwich and South Cheshire show, held at Dorfold Hall Park, Nantwich, has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
Organisers said the recent bad weather and little improvement in the forecast meant the show directors had to make the unprecedented decision to cancel the show, which was due to take place on July 25.

Show chairman, John Broomhall, said: “With some 2,000 exhibitors and up to 30,000 visitors expected to attend the event the ground conditions, despite some 1.5 miles of roadway being laid, are unable to take this volume of traffic.”
Despite the cancellation of the show the Nantwich international cheese show will go ahead on the showground as planned and will open on July 24 (trade and press day) and will be open to the public on July 25.

I’m fed up with talking about the weather, but I can console myself with the fact we have grabbed every opportunity so far and progress is not too bad.
