Somerset : Polden Hills have to overcome stiff competition
ALL 26 clubs were out in force in a bid for victory at their annual rally, culminating in Polden Hills YFC lifting the overall winning trophy.
Other winners include Brymore School YFC who were placed first in the senior and intermediate classes of both the beef and dairy stockjudging and Williton YFC for the club gaining the highest points in the junior classes.
In the handicraft classes, with the theme ‘From Moor to Shore’ Katie Lyons of Chew Valley YFC became the senior winner for gaining the most points in the competition, while Eve Cooper of Polden Hills YFC achieved a win in the junior section of the same competition.
Having excelled in gaining the highest points in the junior stockjudging classes, Williton YFC also came out top in sheep stockjudging, clay pigeon shooting and the intermediate lamb carcase competition thanks to member Ben Sellick.
