Aberdeen-Angus calf win for Alistair

THE Aberdeen-Angus calf show received tremendous support, with more than 60 entries, but the top award - and £1,000 - was won by Cumnock, Ayrshire breeder Alistair Clark.

His winner was the home-bred January bull Duncanziemere Jaguar by Aln Governor out of the home-bred Jody.

Reserve was also a bull - T.H. Brewis’s (Kelso) Eastfield Four Stroke, born in April by Halbeath King Kong.

The heifer champion was J.F. Lascelles’ Moss Florian-sired Balmachie Ellen Erica and reserve, W. and D. McLaren’s Netherton Red Essence by red Dmm Traction.
