Turbo Texels to 2,600gns
BIDDING rose to 2,600gns for the production sale from Jan Rodenburg’s Turbo Dutch Texel flock from Llandysul, Ceredigion, at Carlisle.
Leading the sale was a shearling ram, Turbo Prince, by a Haringhuizen-bred tup and out of a P Verberne Koos-sired dam. It sold to M. Faulder, Beith, Ayrshire.
A shearling ram, Turbo Pirate, by Turbo Magnum made 1,000gns when selling to R. Hall and Son, Dalston, Cumbria.
Averages: 27 shearling gimmers, £466.67; 37 shearling rams, £468.66; 64 head overall, £467.82.
