Sedgemoor’s £2,100 peak
AN entry of 51 dairy cattle were forward at the first sale of the year at Sedgemoor auction centre.
A pedigree heifer from Jim Westaway, Wellington, Somerset, sold at £2,100 and non-pedigree heifers from Frank Osborne, Towcester, realised £2,000.
The best pedigree cows sold to £1,650, with non-pedigrees making up to £1,640.
The 10 Holstein Friesian in-calf heifers on offer peaked at £1,410 while calves topped at £400.
