Limousin heifers top 216p/kg at Ashford
Best cattle were in short supply and regularly made 190-215p/kg, topping with Limousin heifers at 216p/kg and a brace of Limousin steers at 214p/kg.
Strong Charolais steers made to 209p/kg and £1,376 gross, while the best of the heifers sold at £1,133 or 201p/kg.
Commercial cattle demand was also strong, with good runs of continental steers, including British Blue cross Friesian steers making to 191p/kg (£1,315).
Best of the Holsteins made 159p/kg (£1,132) while good Herefords made 177p/kg (£1,331).
