Lancaster dairy sale peaks at 2,600gns
TOP price at the April dairy show and sale at Lancaster was 2,600gns achieved for the champion, Ingleview Dollar Kitty, from Robert and Elaine Butterfield, Bentham, Lancaster.
Sired by the home-bred Duplex son, Ingleview Dollar, she traces through Aliann and Newroddige herds to show cow CRF Vic Birck Kitty. The buyer was show judge Andrew Bargh of the Woodclose herd, Skelton, Penrith. At 2,150gns A. and V. Wallbank and Son of the Alstongrange herd, Longridge, Preston, snapped up a Roxy heifer from Carl Smith. She was sired by Gillette Final Cut and bred from an EX daughter of Bond Haven Dixie Rox.
Averages: Cows and served heifers, £1,823.18.
