Camelot’s 6,200gns top Stirling bid
ABERDEEN-ANGUS show champion and top seller, Blelack Prince Camelot, leads multi-breed event at Stirling.

Top call for bulls at the multi-breed beef sale at Stirling earlier this week was 6,200gns.
This was paid for show champion, Blelack Prince Camelot, from Neil and Graeme Massie, Dinnet, Aberdeenshire.
Camelot, an April 2008-born son of Blelack Blackstock is out of the Nightingale Ernie daughter Blelack Princess Caroline. It sold to Auchenek Estates, Kilearn, By Glasgow.
The reserve champion and the day’s second highest priced bull was the April 2008-born Retties Daredevil from Richard and Carol Rettie, Alloa, Clackmannanshire. Daredevil is by Eastfield Fusilier and out of Blelack Blacksmith daughter Jerusalem Diana D090. He sold to Liam Muir, Harray, Orkney, for 4,500gns.
Topping the 10 pedigree females forward was Andrew Mylius, Newport-on-Tay, Fife, with St Fort Fleur.
This August 2008-born daughter of Fordafourie Kris is out of the Netherton Chic daughter St fleur Y570 who goes back to Netherton fleur N26 on the dam side. She was knocked down at 1,050gns to MacFarlene Farms, Duns, Berwickshire who bought six of the females on offer.
Charolais
Charolais bulls sold to a top of 5,500gns, achieving 95 per cent clearance and an average of £3,943. Sale topper was the Thrunton Donatello, a 22-month-old by Burradon Talisman and out of a homebred cow by the 25,000gns Perth champion, Mowbraypark Orlando. Bred by the Campbell family, Thrunton, Alnwick, Donatello was secured in a joint split by Fifeshire producers, W.M. Arnot, Leven and John Whiteford and Son, Cupar.
At 4,000gns, the Campbells sold the 18-month-old Thrunton Delgado, a same way bred Talisman son and out of an Orlando sired cow, to the Crofters Commission, Inverness.
Blelack Deputy, from Neil and Graeme Massie made 5,200gns. This 21-month-old Coolnaslee Adversary son sold to A.A. Younger, Castletown, Thurso.
Next at 4,800gns was Allanfauld Daviegray from Archie MacGregor, Kilsyth, Glasgow, selling to G. Sordy and Sons, Whittingham, Alnwick.
This two-year-old is by the homebred Allanfauld Vangogh, a Moyness Lincoln son. Another Vangogh son from the same breeder, this time the 20-month-old Allanfauld Domperignon made 4,000gns to Easter Tulloch, Laurencekirk.
Simmental
Bidding rose to 6,200gns for Simmentals with the trade being led by Islavale Wizard, from W.S. Stronach, Keith, Banffshire. This November 2008-born bull is by Glenturk Premier.
Another November 2008 bull by the same sire and from the same home, Islavale Windsor, made 5,600gns.
Limousin
Limousin bulls sold to 5,500gns for the December 2008-born Westhall Black Diehard from A. Fotheringham, Forganney, Perth.
This bull is by Tamarvalley Boscastle and out of a dam by Hewsons Golddust.
