Tillage 2009: Vector offers versatility
PADDY Flynn of TTMS says the Kockerling Vector offers plenty of versatility to what steed is used up front. The 4.6m or 5.7m standard machines can be extended to 6.2m and 8.0m by simply adding extensions onto the hydraulic folding wings allowing farmers to increase the working width as more power is made available or reduced if the big mover is needed for other duties.
Although having fewer tines than its bigger brother the Precision Cultivator the Vector can be used deeper. Two rows of levelling tines complete the cultivation process ahead of the double rollers.
The 5.7m ideally requires 250hp and carries a price tag of £47,500.
