Cereals 2010
High profile given to winter wheat varieties
RAGT profiled winter wheat varieties Warrior, Hereward and Battalion, as well as new soft wheat candidate variety Tuxedo.
Like Warrior, Tuxedo has high septoria tritici resistance rating, together with good resistance to yellow rust.
Tuxedo’s two-year treated yield rating is as good as the best current group 3 varieties, says RAGT, who describe the new variety as easy and trouble-free to grow.

BETTER late than never is a phrase which seems oddly appropriate when applied to British farming at the moment.
