Nissan X-Trail

Nissan’s third generation X-Trail has been overhauled and, using the same platform as the Qashqai, has grown in size. As a result, its wheelbase has increased by 5mm to 2,630mm, while overall length has risen by 175mm to 4,630mm. Much of this extra length can be found in the luggage area.

With the tweaks come two diesel engine options – 150hp and 173hp to replace the 136hp of old. Six-speed manual or six-speed auto boxes can be chosen for the lower powered model, though its manual only for the higher powered 173hp version. Trek, Sport and Aventura trim levels are available, with upgrades to the latter two, including goodies such as DVD sat-nav, parking camera and xenon headlights, depending on the model.
