Tory leaders urged to support NFU manifesto

CONSERVATIVE leader David Cameron was urged to support the NFU’s manifesto as he attended a meeting of North West party members at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.

Attending the event with Shadow Chancellor George Osbourne and Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague, he spoke to the audience in front of a union jack created from British produce.

NFU deputy president Meurig Raymond introduced William Hague to the crowd, who said the Conservatives would work closely with the NFU if they win the next general election.
