Campaign for the Farmed Environment - what you need to know
THE Campaign for the Farmed Environment (CFE) is a ground-breaking industry initiative which will see farmers adopt a voluntary approach to environmental land management.
The stakes are far higher than simply maintaining and improving wildlife habitats and overhanging the campaign is the threat hat if its targets are not met, the Government will impose regulation on the industry, via cross compliance.
The Campaign brings together the following farming organisations and advisory bodies, NFU, CLA, AIC, FWAG, GWCT, LEAF, AICC and CAAV, working in partnership with Defra, Natural England, the Environment Agency and the RSPB.
